Cook your family a lovely healthy yummie veggy meal. Use different source of proteine (see camisadolee93) and tell your parents about the nutritional value of your food and maybe compare it one of the meals they’ve cooked the other day. Show them that you are very sensible about your food choices so they will start to worry less. Maybe also point out to them what too much (red) meat does to joints, heart and arteries…. good luck!

Definitely not. I’m vegetarian, and all you have to do is eat more nuts, beans and stuff like that. You definitely won’t get sick; a vegetarian diet allows you to be more safely protected against diseases than an omnivorous one does. It’s way healthier too, and you stay slimmer more easily.

my family criticizes my vegetarian diet every day saying that I won’t get the right proteins I need and that I’ll get sick and have to start eating meat again. is it rue?

Wow… I was more joking, and I’m only 17 for your information (not a hobo lol). I was merely trying to point out that life isn’t a race on who can preserve their body the most. Yes, it’s nice to look good, but if you spend all your time worrying (and go to extremes like most ‘health nuts’ do), your not truly living… now are you?
And it’s funny when health nuts say, “if you don’t do ________ your gonna die” … I guess they believe in immortality? lol

Man do I hate you health nuts. You take the fun out of everything.Will you ever realize that were all going to die, and your 30 minute daily run at the dewy track is worth nothing? So what if you get an extra 7 years out of your body… I’d rather live every last day, party, get laid, and have fun then live like you people. (No offence)
Don’t take this as an insult, I just don’t see the point.Yes health is important, but going to extremes like some people do is just plain dumb. Right?

I really would like to know your opinion about breakfast cereals rich in fibre, like all bran fruit and fibre, etc.
To me it gives me a satisfied feeling for hours because of all the fibre it contains.

Peanuts aren’t actually a nut they are a legume. They don’t have good omegas like walnuts, macadamia nuts, and cashews. Always make sure any nut you are eating is unsalted as well. Raw is best, but roasted is still ok.
